Blackpool’s pre-season plans have finally started to take shape with the club announcing that the team will once again take part in this summer’s South West Challenge Cup.

The Cup will feature the likes of Doncaster Rovers and Kilmarnock, starting with a group phase before culminating with knock out games to decide the winners.

Blackpool entered the competition last season, losing to Rushden and Diamonds on penalties.

Further news about the Seasiders’ pre-season plans is expected in the coming days, with the team still expected to head to a training camp in Austria at some point, as revealed first on Vital Blackpool.
