Rhys on the move

Evans has seen his first team opportunities limited since the arrival of Paul Rachubka earlier this year. Rabs established himself as Pool’s number 1 towards the back end of last season and figured prominently in Pool’s glorious promotion.

Evans has managed only two first team starts this season – in the Carling Cup against Derby and Southend. He joins League 2 Bradford on a month’s loan, though Simon Grayson has inserted a 24 hour recall on the deal.

Grayson told the Blackpool’s official website: ‘Hopefully he will go to Bradford and play some games. We will keep our eyes on his progress.’

This leaves Pool with only Rachubka as a goalkeeper, with no news on Lewis Edge’s injury. There will once again be no reserve keeper on the bench for Saturday’s game against Plymouth. Whilst this gives Larry extra outfield options, we can only pray that Rabs doesn’t pull up or get sent off! Still, if that is the case then we always have Shaun Barker, who is believed to be more than useful between the sticks.
