Room For One More At Blackpool?

There is an hour and a half left of the January (and a bit of February!) transfer window, but will there be anymore signings at Bloomfield Road?

Midfieler Francesco Carretta put pen to paper on a deal until the end of the season earlier today, and the club have said they’re hoping for more to arrive before the 5pm deadline.

However, Steve Thompson did say that they will not be panicking, and can do business when the loan market re-opens in a fortnight.

It was reported that ‘Pool had missed out on a Scottish striker this morning, but I wouldn’t bet against Tony Parkes getting another through the door in the next hour or so.

And Blackpool do only have until 5pm to do their deals, as according to national reports, it is only the Premiership who are extending the transfer deadline – probably to allow deals involving Andrei Arshavin, Robbie Keane and Darren Bent to go through.
