Grayson replaced Gary McAllister as Leeds’ boss in December, but the Seasiders claimed that the Yorkshire club had approached the then Blackpool manager illegally.

At a tribunal on Thursday 9th April, the two clubs reached an undisclosed financial settlement, although a figure of £200,000 has been mentioned in the local press.

Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey said: ‘We are delighted the matter is now resolved and Simon can continue with the work he has started in seeking to get the club promoted.’

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston added: ‘We are pleased to have resolved this matter. We wish Simon and Leeds well for the future.’ The Blackpool official website adds that no further comment on the issue will be made.
