It’s time for the site poll results, what area does Grayson have to build on?

The poll has been running for quite a bit now and we’ve been asking you to tell us what position needs to be strengthened in the team. So far two players have come into the club, Rhys Evans and Paul Tierney, a goalkeeper and defender.

From the poll it’s evident that the striking department is in need of some new faces. With only Keigan Parker finding his scoring boots last season Grayson’s top priority must be to find a goal scorer.

One name that has been mentioned by manager Simon Grayson is Morecambe’s Danny Carlton. The strikers has come through the ranks at Morecambe and finished as last years top scorer with 18 goals.

An initial bid was made for Carlton in the January transfer window but the deal fell through with the Shrimps being unable to finds a replacement for the Yorkshire man.

Defence receive 16% in the vote for position to be strengthened. Young Chasetown defender Chris Slater will join the squad for pre season training with a view to a permanent deal. But with the addition of Tierney already it looks like Grayson will only be looking for another centre half with the departure of Butler and Edwards. One name to be thrown into the transfers pot is former PNE and Tranmere player Michael Jackson.

Here are the results from the poll.

For our next poll we’ll be asking about our prospects for next season.

Top two, play-offs, mid-table, relegation scrap, relegated.
So all you have to do is vote!
