Blackpool ace Stephen McPhee helped himself to the second-highest individual match score of the week in The Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship.

McPhee earned his best score of the campaign with 51 points in the defeat of Norwich City as Simon Grayson`s men look to be closing in on Championship safety after a good run of form.

The Scot was only outdone by QPR midfielder Mikele Leigertwood who scored 61 points in the win against Stoke, but it helped McPhee rise 62 places to 218th position overall.

Paul Rachubka remains the top-ranked Blackpool player with 403 points, seven clear of Shaun Barker who sits nine places adrift of his team-mate in 35th position.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Blackpool players are:

Player,Ranking,Position Ranking,Index Score

Paul Rachubka, 26th, 5th Ranked Goalkeeper, 403 points

Shaun Barker, 35th, 6th Ranked Defender, 396

Wes Hoolahan, 48th, 14th Ranked Midfielder, 372

Kaspars Gorkss, 81st, 26th Ranked Defender, 336

Stephen Crainey, 86th, 27th Ranked Defender, 329

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
