Who would have thought it after the start we had to this season that come the last scheduled Saturday and we are still in with a chance of automatic promotion. Admittedly we are relying on Brizzle & Forrest to drop points, and with both playing at home the odds are against us, but maybe, just maybe tomorrow evening could see the biggest night of most of our supporters lives.
How to get there
The M4 will be rather busy tomorrow as the egg chasers work their way from the north to Baadiff for a weekend of Millennium Magic. Leave at J45 follow the A4067 signposted to Swansea. At first roundabout head straight on towards Swansea and at second roundabout take your first exit to the left, the stadium is on your left hand side. Suggested alternatives include the M50, but however you get there one things for certain parking is a nightmare. Park & ride will be the order of the day, & away fans will have their own buses heading to & from the ground. Avoid the nearby retail park as tickets flow for fun.
For the Virgin lovers amongst us the train station is over 2 & a half miles from the ground.
The ground
Open for 2 years the Liberty Stadium brings with it all the trappings of a modern ground. Generous leg room between seats, obligatory retail park next door and all corners built in and enclosed (are you reading this KO?). Over 20000 can be accommodated and we`ll be housed behind one goal in the North Stand. It`s a sell out so the place should be in full swing.
Where to drink
There are plenty of pubs around the area: The Station Inn, The New Globe, The Coopers Arms, The Wern, The Alma, The Plough & The Morris Arms. Beer is also available inside the ground.
Stewards & Heddlu
Tomorrow will see the season make or break for Swansea and the stewards will be of a different breed from our friends at the Millstad. Welsh police have generally been welcoming towards us in the past, and they`ll have their hands full with the locals tomorrow not to be paying their undivided attention our way.
Fear Factor rating – 8
Be wary around the ground, even though entrance to the playoffs is virtually dependant on Owdham doing worse than Swansea, if things don`t go their way they will no doubt be looking for some sort of ‘relief.`
Liberty also means freedom, here`s hoping that after almost 30 years of hurt, that we can finally free ourselves from the bottom 2 divisions and start the next part of Plan Belokon – the Premiership within 4 years (& counting).
