The Seasiders will be making the trip to St. Andrews’, the Madejski and Pride Park next season.

Despite both recording comprehensive wins earlier today, Birmingham and Reading will play Championship football in August. Fulham completed their great escape by beating Portsmouth to survive the drop.

Pool fans will have fond memories of Birmingham’s last visit to the seaside. Back in September 2003 a certain Scott Taylor scored the only goal in a League Cup tie against the then Premier League leaders.

The Tangerines’ will return to Pride Park in the league next season after winning a League Cup game at Derby on penalties last August. Club captain and recently released Michael Jackson scored the winning spot kick on the night.

Pool’s last visit to the Madejski was back in January 2002 when a Nicky Forster hat trick won the day for Reading.

Meanwhile, Bristol City and Hull hold the advantage in their respective play-off matches going into the second legs next week. Hull beat Watford at Vicarage Road 2-0 while Bristol City won 2-1 at Crystal Palace.
