The search for a striker continues

Blackpool are in need of many new acquisitions this summer, but arguably the most important area of the squad that needs to be added to is in attack.

Pool have been linked with many strikers recently, Tyrone Barnett and Nile Ranger were both believed to be potential targets for the club. But with Ranger being charged with rape and Barnett believed to cost around the 1 million pound mark, there are serious doubts behind both transfers.

Whether Blackpool are currently in talks with any strikers it is yet to be seen, but I`m sure Pool fans will want to an attacker to be brought in soon to give them hope for the upcoming season.

There are plenty of proven goal scorers available; however with many of the clubs demanding a large transfer fee and the players themselves wanting high paying wages it is unlikely we will see a big money striker arrive at the club this window.

On the other hand, if star man Thomas Ince leaves for a huge fee as expected chairman Karl Oyston may invest the money needed to lure these type of players to the club. Having turned down Cardiff, the window has now opened for other clubs to move for the winger which is likely to happen. Either way Pool fans should expect to see a new striker join the club relatively soon.
