Blackpool fully deserved the three points following another lack lustre second half (well at least it wasn`t the whole game!) from Bournemouth.

A very impressive by Blackpool after a tentative start in which I thought maybe AFCB`s luck had turned. An early goal for us could have changed the whole complex of the game but instead we just shot straight at your ‘keeper. After 15 minutes you started getting into your rhythm with some slick passing and moving, leaving the Bournemouth boys lost in trying to track their players.

The fact Bournemouth tried to play 433 led to their full-backs being exposed by your wide men and this was particularly the case for poor Callum Hart, as Blackpool continuously used their right hand side with Barker, and the particularly impressive Forbes, whose direct running and crossing was forever a problem.

The other impressive Pools players for me were Jorgensen, who I can`t believe doesn`t start more often for you as he was creative throughout. But the pick of the bunch was the hard working if arrogant Parker. Chasing down every loose ball, his drive and determination were capped with two goals, the second an absolute peach.

However, despite how impressed I was with your side and their willingness to want to get the ball on the floor and pass their way through the game instead of panic after the first 15 minutes, they were helped by Bournemouth`s lack of ability to do neither and to make mistakes that led to the first and third goals. Add to the fact that the first one was so early in the second half, the AFCB boys confidence seemed to go, and with that, the game.

Your defence didn`t have much to do and I think were slightly bemused and shocked when we did pull a goal back and that`s when you gave the ball away a couple of times, but one more counter attack and it was game over. Your midfield worked hard, and was creative, whilst your strike force always looked like they could potentially score, which they did.

Overall, I was impressed with your side`s performance though this was slightly assisted by The Cherries being quite dire as well. The way you play football is a credit to your club and from the teams I have seen so far this year, you have every chance and every right to be in at least the play-offs come the end of the season, let alone the end of the year!

Good luck for the rest of the season!
