Wow, £50,847 now we are talking, a cool £50k can buy you a half decent player at this level. A certain Mr B Ormerod signed for £50k from Accrington Stanley or a John Spicer or a Paul Shields and a Duane Courtney.
As we know we don?t pay agents fees, but some money will be used to pay the players wages, so I think we aren?t expecting all the money to be spent on the fee alone. But it shows that if you pay a bit of money you get a bit of class. Now lets say if the same amount is raised from the Oldham match, this gives us about £100k in total. Add to that donations and money raised from auctions, maybe erm?£25K a total of £125,000 is realistic.
So with that in mind who ever signed for the Seasiders better be worth it. Be that Paul Heckingbottom or Graeme Lee or Dion Dublin, just some of the names that have been mentioned, they are going to have a lot resting on their shoulders as pretty much at the moment we are relaying on them to drag the team out of the dreaded bottom four.
