Time running out for Transfers

With less than five hours remaining unil the midnight deadline at the time of writing there has been very little to report from Bloomfield Road.

The only deal done that affects Blackpool is the permanent move of Sone Aluko to Aberdeen from Birmingham. The 19 year-old striker has spent the first month of the season on loan at the seaside but failed to create a major impact on the field. Aluko’s switch could pave the way for another striker to sign on loan for Blackpool before the window shuts.

Mo Camara could yet extend his stay at the seaside to January. Equally Derby may recall Camara given their plight at the bottom of The Championship.

The transfer of midfielder Alan Gow from Rangers to Blackpool appears to be unlikely as Gow has indicated he wants to stay in his native Scotland. Norwich and Burnley had, like the Seasiders, had bids accepted by the ‘Gers for Gow earlier in the summer. But he refused both moves.

The message boards are rife with rumours. Players being mentioned include former Pool loanee Andy Wilkinson and ex-England international striker Michael Ricketts. As always there is plenty of speculation as we await news of transfers in and out of Bloomfield Road.

Fringe players like Stuart Green, Alex John-Baptiste and Michael D’Agostino could head out on loan to gain some first team football.

It could be a long night for Larry and co!
