Will Match Postponement Have A Negative Effect?

Confidence was high in the Blackpool camp before the game against Oldham yesterday. The side were ready for a home fixture against a side below them in the league after winning the previous three, but due to the rain the game was called off.

It’s a shame the game was called off, certainly Neil McDonald and his side would have been confident of securing a result yesterday which would have seen them pull further away from the relegation zone.

Of course this is all hypothetical as Oldham could have shown up and outplayed Pool, but going into home games on a winning streak gives a side huge confidence.

When the Seasiders were on a good run before and their league game against Bradford was cancelled, Pool went on a bad run and ended up losing the game when it was eventually played.

Pool have a great chance to carry on their run when they play Barnsley tomorrow. It was a shame Pool couldn’t play Oldham in this run of form but there is a prime opportunity for a good performance and result against Barnsley away tomorrow.
