With Blackpool’s game against Charlton Athletic on Saturday postponed, could this be what Blackpool need to get players back up to full fitness and get rested ready for their February fixtures which in previous years has proven to be a poor month for Blackpool.

Blackpool top scorer Vassell came back into the team against AFC Wimbledon a week ago, and was expected to start again this weekend, however the break has given him an extra week to get his fitness back up before Blackpool’s trip to Bury at the weekend.

Blackpool Boss Gary Bowyer has already admitted he is working hard to turn around Blackpool’s fortunes in the league after a poor run of results has seen them lingering around the relegation zone.

Blackpool travel to Bury at the weekend looking for a win to start pulling themselves back up the table, after a rested weekend, and with no fresh inuries
