Another two out…

Last season’s Seasiders Player Of The Year award winner, Lee Jones has made his loan deal to League Two outfit Darlington a permanent switch.

The 36-year old had a fantastic season at the Seaside last term, however with the signing of former Chelsea stopper, Rhys Evans, over the summer, Jones found himself left out in the cold. A number of thumb injuries also damaged his chances of a first team comeback this season. He was sent out on loan to Darlington to get games under his belt but has now made the move a permanent one.

Everyone wishes him the best of luck at Darlington and would like to thank him for his loyalty over the past few years.

Another ‘keeper on his way out of Blackpool is Lewis Edge, who re-joins Rochdale on loan for the rest of the season.

The youngster previously had a month-long spell at the Dale cut short thanks to Lee Jones’ thumb injury and has more recently seen himself a regular starter in the Blackpool reserves.

Ironically he will make his Rochdale debut against Blackpool tonight at Fleetwood Town in the Pontins Reserves League game.

Fingers crossed he will get some first team experience and return to the Seaside a much better player.
