According to Alex Baptiste, Blackpool’s trip to Burnley, live on Sky Sports, is a perfect fixture following an international break.

Talking to the local press earlier this afternoon, the defender said: ‘Burnley away on TV should suit us down to the ground. Burnley fans always make a noise and support their team, so add our away following to that and we should be in for a cracker,’ seemingly forgetting not only the 3-1 defeat at Turf Moor last season, but the Seasiders’ poor record on TV.

They have lost both televised games so far this season – away at Leicester City and at home against Huddersfield Town.

Meanwhile, Ludovic Sylvestre says Pool will continue to play their unique brand football despite difficult results.

‘We try to play our own style of football, which is totally different to other teams in the Championship. We’ve had some bad results lately but we have to believe in our style and keep going,’ he said.

‘The manager knows exactly what he wants us to do and I’m confident we’ll come back stronger. Hopefully we can get back to action with a win at Burnley on Saturday.’
