Today, Roberto Martinez has admitted that he is ready to make a bid for Blackpool striker Keigan Parker.

The Swansea boss told the BBC ‘He (Parker) is one of the many players that we keep an eye on’ and added that his side ‘need to strengthen up front’.

However, Blackpool boss Simon Grayson wouldn`t be keen on allowing Parker leave, as his bid to sign Darren Byfield failed dramtically as the former Villa man travelled to Bristol today to finalise a move with Gary Johnson`s City and was at their game with Manchester City tonight.

Whilst Martinez spoke of bidding for Parker, he also reitterated ‘we’re not going to bring in anyone just for the sake of it because we are meeting a deadline.’

On the evidence of last nights celebrations from Keigan, it still remains unlikely he`ll be moving to The Liberty Stadium, but The Swans are still sniffing?
