17,000 fans will pack into Bloomfield Road tomorrow to see Blackpool take on Fulham, with three very winnable points on offer.

It’s the first game played at Bloomfield Road since the Premier League was introduced in the 1990’s and the club were given a little lift ahead of the game with the signing of Luke Varney.

The striker has penned a loan deal with the view to a permanent from Derby County and will go straight into the squad.

It’s likely that Varney will partner Elliot Grandin and Gary Taylor-Fletcher in the ‘Pool front three.

Ian Evatt is back after a one-match ban, which means it’s a toss up between him and Dekel Keinan to see who partners Craig Cathcart in the middle of the defence.

Jason Euell looks set to miss out again and is on the sidelines along with Marlon Harewood, Keith Southern – who should be fit for the Newcastle trip – Billy Clarke and Paul Rachubka.

Mark Halstead will take his place on the bench after conceding four in midweek, but probably won’t be joined with anymore signings, despite a player going through a medical now – according to Sky Sports.

For Fulham, they’re still missing striker Andy Johnson who’s been out since January. Fellow striker Diomansy Kamara also misses the trip, as well as Philippe Senderos and Mark Schwarzer.

Mark Hughes’ team will be on a high after their brilliant late equaliser at home to Manchester United last week which doubled their points for the season so far, after drawing 0-0 with Bolton the week before.

The Cottagers will provide a stern test for Ian Holloway’s side, with both teams liking to get the ball down and passing it.

The key battle will be to see who comes out on top between Craig Cathcart and Bobby Zamora, with the striker looking in decent form in midweek, scoring twice.

Charlie Adam and new Fulham signing Moussa Dembele are the ones who can unlock eachother’s defence and if David Vaughan can exert composure in the middle, ‘Pool could have something to build on.
