Championship new boys

Swansea City
The Welsh side finished as champions of League One by ten points emphasising their dominance of the league.
Swansea were indebted to Jason Scotland`s goals to fire them to the title. The Trinidadian striker scored 23 league goals to finish as the division`s top scorer. Spaniard Guillem Bauza, who has recently signed a new contract, chipped in with 13 goals.
Manager Roberto Martinez is regarded as a legend in South Wales and he will be adored forever more by the Swans` fans if he keeps them up in the Championship this coming season.
City have already splashed the cash this summer by signing Ashley Williams for £400,000 from Stockport.
With a superb, relatively new stadium Swansea should create quite an impression on the Championship and will fancy their chances of continuing their success from last season.

Nottingham Forest
The so called sleeping giant has awoken and Forest are back among the big boys in the Championship this coming season. Forest pipped Doncaster to the second automatic promotion spot on the last day of the season thanks to a 3-2 win over Yeovil, the team that knocked Forest out of the play-offs the previous year. And we all know what happened in the following play-off final!
Colin Calderwood has moved quickly to make the eye-catching signing of Welsh international striker Rob Earnshaw for £2.65m. That sum of money illustrates the financial gap between Blackpool and most of the rest of the Championship.
Forest are another club with a tremendous stadium and should attract crowds of around 20,000. Their fans will be thrilled to be back in the Championship and will probably be content with consolidation in their first season back in the second tier of English football.

Doncaster Rovers
Sean O`Driscoll has done a marvellous job to take Rovers to the Championship. O`Driscoll had previously worked miracles at Bournemouth before being tempted by the Yorkshire club.
It was the manager`s connections at Bournemouth that helped secure Doncaster`s triumph in the play-offs. Striker James Hayter played under O`Driscoll at the south coast club and it was he who scored Doncaster`s winner against Leeds in the play-off final at Wembley.
Rovers return to the second tier of English football for the first time in 50 years and they will be desperate to cement their place in the Championship.
But Doncaster has already been dealt a blow ahead of the new season losing midfielder Paul Green to Derby. They do however have Pool old boy Richie Wellens. He is sure to attract some attention from the fans at Bloomfield Road as he has while playing for Oldham against Pool.
Doncaster will need to sign another striker or two to compete in the Championship as they only scored 65 goals last season in comparison to Swansea`s 82 in League One.
