As you should all know by now, the Promotion at Preston 40th Anniversary Dinner takes place on Friday April 16th in the Sir Stanley Matthews Lounge from 7.30pm.
The evening will celebrate the incredible game when ‘Pool striker Fred Pickering scored a hat-trick against Preston, not only earning the Seasiders promotion to the first division, but also sending the Nobbers down to the third.
Big Fred will be there himself, as will many other former ‘Pool players, including Jimmy Armfield (the night is to raise funds for his statue).
As well as this, many Vital members will be there on the night… and if that wasn’e enough for you, we now reveal a great opportunity that will be available on the night (drum roll please)!
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has very kindly offered two tickets on his table up for auction. The winners will get to sit next to him and his wife Kim for the entire evening, which includes a four course meal as well as cracking entertainment.
