Blackpool club captain Jason Euell today extended his loan at Championship side Doncaster Rovers until the end of the season.

The 34 year old utility man joined Rovers last month after being omitted from ‘Pool’s 25 man Premier League squad for the remainder of the season.

Euell has been utilised in attack by Sean O’Driscoll’s men, scoring once in four appearances.

And with Doncaster sliding down the Championship table, O’Driscoll has moved to retain the veteran’s experience for the rest of the season as they look to avoid the drop back down to League One.

The move suits Euelly as well, who frequently travels to London to visit his family and watch over his business interests.

Euell’s contract with the Seasiders expires this summer and despite ‘Pool manager Ian Holloway being a massive fan of him, he is unlikely to earn a new deal (especially if we stay up).
