Brace yourselves kids. Various national newspapers are running a story linking Blackpool with a loan move for David Beckham. Yes, you did read that right.

The hacks believe that ‘Pool, Spurs, Blackburn, West Ham, Sunderland, Newcastle, Everton and Chelsea are all chasing the player, as well as clubs in Spain and Italy as Becks looks to build up his fitness before the new MLS season with a two month loan spell in Europe.

However, don’t get too excited folks as although Goldenballs could well make the move back to Europe during January, it won’t be to Bloomfield Road… Posh would never be prepared to wash David’s kit for him for a start!

A much more realistic target for the Seasiders however is Barnsley midfielder Adam Hammill.

We ran a story over two weeks ago (see here) stating how the player was very much on ‘Pool’s radar, and tonight Sky Sports are running a story claiming that the Seasiders have made a bid for him.
