Simon Grayson has now been installed as favourite for the Leeds United managerial job.

SkyBet have the Blackpool gaffer at 5/4 to replace Gary McAlistar at Elland Road, leap-frogging previous certainty Gus Poyet, who is at 6/4.

Talking to local media in Yorkshire today, Grayson said: ‘There is nothing to say because it’s just speculation. Of course it’s flattering to be linked with any job but it’s just rumours.’

Whilst his and Poyet’s odds are shortening, pretty much all other possible candidates are drifting, bar Darren Ferguson. Grayson was out as far as 14/1 with one bookmakers yesterday.

It still remains unlikely that Larry will end up at United – with Gus Poyet being the obvious choice – but a flurry of money in his direction over the course of the night means for now at least, ‘Pool’s manager could be on his way out of Bloomfield Road.
