Its been just like watching grass grow!

Since the end of the last football season plenty has been happening on the field at Bloomfield Road, with the old turf torn up and a new pitch laid down to replace the old ‘Cabbage Patch’ pitch that was criticised by so many spectators, managers and players last season.

The whole pitch and drainage has been replaced at Bloomfield Road, along with 3G Astro Turf along the touchlines of the playing area to reduce wear and tear of the touchline area.

On the pitch though has been a totally different story. With only MacKenzie signing a permanent deal, and Ferguson and Broadfoot accepting their new contract offers, a lot of work is still to be done at Bloomfield Road to make Blackpool competitive in the league next season.

As usual at this time of the year names and rumours are being thrown around all over the place, however nothing as yet has materialised.

Paul Ince has been facing his biggest squad rebuild of his managerial career, as most of the Blackpool squad has walked out for alternative contracts at new clubs, leaving only Matt Gilks left of the 2010 Play Off winning team, that beat Cardiff City 3-2.

Tom Ince turning down Cardiff City has been welcome good news at Bloomfield Road, but how long realistically can we expect to keep him at Blackpool? And with injuries starting to creep in, do we need backup for our starting XI?

What type of players would you like to see at Bloomfield Road? How many players realistically do you think we need? What positions would you be looking to replace or create competition for?
