Late double D-day swoop for Pool

Blackpool have completed the signings of two young strikers ahead of the transfer deadline at 11pm.

Nathan Eccleston, a long-term target for Ian Holloway, has joined permanently from Liverpool on a one-year deal with the option of a second.

And Aston Villa’s Nathan Delfouneso has also penned a deal, on a season-long loan deal.

Both 21, they provide much needed competition for Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Kevin Phillips up front for the Seasiders.
