The striker, who has only just returned from a long term injury, collapsed whilst in control of the ball; his knee giving way on the turf.
The injury was later confirmed to be his anterior cruciate ligament and will probably result in another long spell on the sidelines.
Blackpool won the game 4-1, Stuart Green scoring a hat-trick.
