Pun-tastic, but we’ll keep to the story…

The Seasiders have been linked with a summer move for Stockport County midfielder Dominic Blizzard.

The 25-year-old, who is out of contract (obviously) in the summer, has been attracting the attention of a host of clubs in the Championship and League One.

And despite The Hatters wanting to keep hold of the powerhouse central midfield man, they look set to lose him due to their financial situation – with money being so tight that manager Jim Gannon almost walked out on the club earlier this year.

Formerly of Watford, Blizzard doesn’t come without his baggage. In 2007, he spent just two months at MK Dons after signing permanently for the club (following a successful loan spell) and left for Edgeley Park.

He also contracted the Epstein-Barr virus in 2005, sidelining him for months which effectively ended his promising career at Watford.

However, he seems to have settled down and his football has done the talking since moving to Jim Gannon’s side as he looks to progress up the divisions – notching 52 starts in his time there.
