Blackpool Gazette are reporting that Blackpool have accepted a bid from Bradford City for Blackpool defender Kelvin Mellor.
It has been reported that an initial bid was rejected by Backpool over the weekend, but Bradford have since come back with an improved offer which has been accepted.
Although a bid has been accepted, the deal is still far from complete, however League One leaders Wigan Athletic are also keen on the Blackpool defender.
The loss of Mellor will be a big blow for Blackpool, Mellor scored 7 times last season and has already scored 5 goals in the first half of this season. Mellor’s contract with Blackpool runs out at the end of this season.
Since signing from Plymouth Argyle in 2016, Mellor has made 64 Blackpool Appearances in all competitions.
