Hartlepool United are thought to be making strides to sign Blackpool striker Daniel Nardiello on a permanent deal.

The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Victoria Park – where he’s been since the end of January.

His move to League One was looking a fruitless one in front of goal until April after a red card in only his second game for the club meant a suspension coinciding with yet another injury meant he’d make just two more appearances before March 21st.

However, April has changed Nards, with two goals in his last three games for the Monkey Hangers. This turn of form has prompted boss Chris Turner to discuss a possible permanent move with the former QPR man and – it is reported in the Blackpool Gazette – The Seasiders themselves.

As the Welsh international was brought to Bloomfield Road as a part of the Kaspars Gorkss transfer, it is unlikely Tony Parkes would want a great deal for the frontman, and the club will hope to re-invest his wages elsewhere.

He just couldn’t seem to get a run going either with us or yourselves but I’m glad to see him getting some goals!
