According to reports, both Blackpool and Preston North End have made enquiries about taking Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback on loan.

The 21 year old midfielder recently returned to the Premier League club following a loan spell at Ipswich.

However, it is believed that Steve Bruce’s side are only willing to agree to a loan before deadline day should the likes of Bolo Zenden regain fitness or if they manage to sign the likes of Wigan’s Charles N’Zogbia.

Unfortunately for the Seasiders, PNE could well be favourites to land the player as they’d be able to guarentee him first team football, unlike the Seasiders.

Meanwhile, in other transfer news this morning, Adam Hammill, as suspected, has signed for Wolves, whilst Peterborough United supremo Barry Fry has claimed that the Seasiders have made enquiries for both George Boyd and Craig Mackail-Smith, but that no deal is on the cards as the Seasiders refuse to meet Posh’s asking price of £4 million for the pair.

It is Vital’s understanding that the Seasiders are not currently close to any signings… ready for another deadline day scramble folks?!
