As reported by Vital Blackpool as early as 2.15pm this afternoon, Blackpool have completed the signing of Swansea striker Stephen Dobbie on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal.

The twenty-seven-year-old striker has struggled to establish himself at the Liberty since his move from Queen of the South in the summer, but has impressed on the rare occasions that he has pulled a Swans shirt on.

Dobbie began his career at Rangers, but failed to break into the first team. After a loan spell in Australia, he moved to Hibernian, St. Johnstone, Dumbarton and Queen of the South – where he really established himself.

Dobbie is described as a skilful centre forward, and goes straight into contention for Wednesday night’s game against West Brom.
