Stoke have been linked with a move for Blackpool striker DJ Campbell as rumours about the striker’s future continue.

The 29 year old has told ‘Pool manager Ian Holloway that he wants to leave the club this summer should a Premier League club bid for him, and it has been rumoured that DJ has a release clause in his contract that would let him leave Bloomfield Road for less than £2 million.

The player had previously been linked with a move to Fulham, but this has been denied by the London club, with a source close to Martin Jol allegedly saying that the Dutch manager was ’embarrassed’ to be linked with DJ.

However, Sky Sports now claim that Stoke City are mulling over a move for the forward, who scored 13 goals in the Premier League last season.

Sunderland are also believed to be tracking DJ, as are West Ham, although a move to the Hammers would go against DJ’s words earlier this month when he stated that he only wanted to leave Blackpool for a Premier League club as he wants to further his England ambitions.
