Jackson, who signed on a free this summer, was selected in the league eleven after his performance this weekend. The former Preston defender got the second goal in the game, finishing in the far corner from a Keith Southern cross.
It was Jackson’s first goal for the club and caps a fantastic start to the season for the defender who has settled into the first team easily despite having numerous partners in the centre of defence since pre-season.
Also selected in the team of the week was midfielder Michael Flynn. The Gillingham player, who has spent time at Bloomfield Road on loan has had his name mentioned in the press as a possible signing for Pool, but Gillingham would be reluctant to let their captain go without a substantial fee.

Hmm so well done then Mr Ex-Nobber! Warming to him slightly now!
Me thinks the saying is The King is Dead, Long live the King or something like that, lol
If he scores 10 this season I MAY forgive him for being an ex nobber! Then again……………………………….
His goals from set pieces could prove invaluable this season.
He’s a Preston Plant. Onwards + Upwards
