Blackpool Vital can exclusively reveal that Seasiders President Valeri Belokon has appointed a new advisor at Bloomfield Road.

Normunds Malncas left the club and also left ‘Belokon Holdings’ last September. This was said to be because of his young family and juggling his career between Blackpool and Riga.

Mr Belokon has been advertising for Malncas’ position since, but just 15 months later his right hand man is back.

Normunds will assume a role as director as well as advisor.

With Belokon rumoured to be in Blackpool more often now, Malncas’ role could include less reporting back to Latvia and more help with key decisions.

Valeri was very pleased to have his old friend back, saying: ‘I feel happy that Normunds Malnacs is back in Blackpool as the Club’s director and that his duties are now extended.’

It is unsure whether welcoming Normunds back was always the plan or the Seasiders have struggled to find a replacement since 2008.
