Rachubka To Become An Imp?

Hours after signing goalkeeper Matt Gilks from Norwich City a story linking Paul Rachubka with a move to League Two side Lincoln City has surfaced.

The reasoning behind this transfer, bizarre though some of it appears, is as follows :-

1: Peter Jackson, The Lincoln City Manager, has stated that the new Imps keeper was currently in America and due back shortly.

Rachubka is American. So obviously he is there right now!!

2: Rachubka has played under Jacko before at Huddersfield.

Now that is true!

3: The new keeper is rumoured to be something of a catch.

Given Rachubka’s pedigree – he has played for Man Utd, Royal Antwerp and the mighty Pool – who could argue with that logic!

So there you have it…Rabs to Lincoln only days after Shrewsbury paid £170,000 for Grant Holt! Whatever next?

I’d be delighted if Rachubka landed at Sincil Bank, after a long period getting over the shock.

Is Rachubka the number one keeper at Blackpool? If not he may just want first team football. Lincoln are a club with big ambition, and to meet that ambition they have to be making quality signings
