Steve Tanner will officiate the game at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
The Premiership referee, who called off the first fixture against Birmingham two weeks ago, hasn’t refereed a league game yet in 2009, but oversaw Crystal Palace’s progression to the FA Cup fourth round last week.
This season is Tanner’s second in the top flight, and he still works at Championship games on a regular basis.
His last game at Bloomfield Road was the 3-3 draw against Gillingham back in 2006 when a certain Michael Flynn scored a stunner with a few minutes remaining to salvage a point for the visitors.

I would settle for another 3-3 draw given our lack of fire power!
